For many weeks now my dear K has been secretly collecting any nuts she can find and hide them where she believes only the chipmunks will discover them. The squirrels are thieves (according to her!) and the chipmunks deserve to be cared for in a special way because they are so darn cute! She has a tenderness to her that comes out in unique ways, this is just one. We walk together daily and along comes containers to collect and store. She cares.

It was a reminder to me just how much more God cares for us. While I was recovering from my broken leg, I watched and listened to a variety of worship music/videos. This one below was such a wonderful way to treasure the verse found in Matthew. God cares for me and God is with me. 

With a sweet and tender-hearted child walking with me demonstrating kindness provides a challenge on a daily basis to look out for others and show love. Today I am thankful for the truth that I am worth more than sparrows, so are you.

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.  And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

Matthew 10:29-31
