Trinity Western University Alumni Spotlight Podcast -Sandee Macgregor

Recently, I sat down (via Zoom!) with Jonathon Fehr.  I was able to share some of my journey that ultimately led me to attending TWU.  Funny how we begin planning and implementing believing it’s our plan before we truly seek God first! He had me in his hand all along.

I was quite focused on my own personal journey toward becoming a teacher. I knew all about TWU but wasn’t even considering it for a variety of reasons: finances, distance, friends and family. After a trip to British Columbia for a friend’s wedding in August of 1991 , upon my return home I found myself packing for the west coast instead of school in Ontario.  A complete detour. Heading to TWU was an experience I will always remember and be grateful for in so many ways. TWU provided me with a solid biblical education, fantastic practical experiences, life-long friendships and falling more in love with the west coast landscape (maybe not the rain!). I may have stayed out west, but my heart belonged to now husband of 25 years. He brought me home to Ontario, but I will always have part of me in B.C!

Jonathon asked some great questions that allowed me the opportunity to share some early teaching experiences, mentoring, the beginning of Sovereign Radiance and my recently published devotional, A Mother-Daughter Devotional and Shared Journal Experience for Psalm 119.      It was a privilege share my story on the podcast.
