Because I love Jesus more

It is well with me soul

He holds my life

I want to give my all

Yet I cling to the past

Pain overwhelms

I close my heart

So I don’t feel

Because I love Jesus more

I have to let go

The hold of my sin

It is not well with my soul

Clinging to past hurt

Paint that runs deep

Lingering lies

Deafen my sleep

Because I love Jesus more

I must seek his face

Keep my eyes fixed on my Saviour

His amazing grace

Because I love Jesus more

Divinely he speaks

Calls me his child

I can rest at his feet
