A few years back our church hosted a ladies conference called Radiant. This annual conference series has been a beautiful blessing in my life. I connect with other women, worship, hear amazing biblical teaching and insights and yes, we eat some pretty amazing food. One year I invited a dear friend and out of the 1200 women that night her seat was selected for a swag bag prize! A great way to begin an evening! We laughed at her seat being called and thoroughly enjoyed the speaking and decadent desserts to satisfy our taste buds! Such a great memory!

One particular Radiant event Lina AbuJamra was the keynote speaker, and from that moment on I was fully engaged with her ministry called Living with Power. Lina is a women that loves the Lord and is passionate about sharing God’s truth through her books, podcast, Morning Minutes and her most recent ministry focus Beirut Blast Relief Fund.  The disaster that we have all seen, read about and mourn over is close to her heart. It is near where she grew up and her ministry focus is right there making a difference today. If you are wondering about where to respond prayerfully/financially this is a fantastic opportunity! It will be easy for the victims to lose hope amidst this disaster. What we can do is lean into their pain, even if we live worlds apart.
