A Note Just For You
Sandee Macgregor / September 8, 2021
Good morning College and University students! This is a note just for you!
Each one of you has a brand new beginning this week. How crazy is this truth! So much change going on around us. Yesterday on a family Marco Polo, my niece reminded just how crazy it is that there is so much going on in our lives today. She is so right. Without change life would be static and dull. Some change is more welcome than others of course, but change that occurs is meant to grow us. Let’s be honest it hurts to grow. It is painful to be stretched and much patience is needed in the process. Sounds like sanctification! Growing more like Christ is not going to be easy today, never has never will be! BUT we are not alone! God is with us all the time and has given us others to walk through our moments and days.
Look around you today and see who God has given you and stop to thank God that he loves you so much he gave this to you just because of his great love!
I read this article today and thought it was perfect for your new beginnings. Some of you are on campus, some at home and some working. It still applies to all of us, even me!!
Here is a quote from the article to inspire you to read it today. It is short and full of great wisdom!
“Be encouraged that the God whom even the winds and waves obey (Matt. 8:27; Mark 4:41; Luke 8:25) is also sovereign over your life. Whatever the world may throw at you, be persistent “to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ” (Eph. 4:15). There is no greater aim for God’s people.”

Please know that I will be praying for all of you. We need support and encouragement daily. As the article talks about early on, find others to connect with in a safe, uplifting scenario. If you don’t have that yet, pray for it and watch what God will do! He loves you and knows all you need.
As you open the zoom link, you are not alone.
When you find your seat in the lecture hall, you are not alone.
As you navigate the cafeteria, laundry, library, gym, the maze of classes and mass numbers of students, you are not alone.
Change is happening right now and you are growing. learning, adapting and most importantly loved through it all.
Blessings on your first weeks of school!
Here is a favourite song in our home that will lift you up today. Play it loud, dance and sing!
"The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven."
- Hebrews 1:3 NIV
