Recently, I had the privilege of being surrounded by beautiful friends in a tranquil setting transported to a place of peace, understanding, refuge and joy. I was in the presence of friends. I reflect in awe at the gracious, loving and supportive moments I have received. My cup overflows.  

God is reflected in our friendships.

 God is mercy

God is grace

 God is kind

 God is loving

God is tender

God is joy, pure joy

God is forgiving

God is gracious

God allows friends in our lives to show more of himself! He does that just because he loves us, just because he is that good! We were created to be in community.

I was speaking with someone lately that was concerned about meeting people, not just anyone but the right ones. I thought about how over my life many friendships came to be…it was in a leap of faith, almost a dare to try, act of obedience and out of the words of wisdom from others. If I had ignored what others may have suggested, even though scared to say yes or allowed a situation that appeared hopeless to stop me, again I would not be surrounded as I am today. God weaves this colourful tapestry of our lives that we won’t fully see until we are home with Jesus. While the weaving occurs in our lives in ways only God can create we wait on him, seek him, delight in him and thank him for the process. He knows are hearts and what we desire, we need to lay it down before him and trust that he will masterfully ordain our moments and days.
