“How beautiful on the mountains
    are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
    who bring good tidings,
    who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
    “Your God reigns!”

Even as I type this I have moist eyes. Tears full of gratitude for these lovely feet. These precious young ones have been my prayer partners, yes, my dearly loved prayer-filled friends. When I began the process of writing the Psalm 119 devotional for mothers and daughters,  I was also in Bible study with precious women of faith. One of the moms has become a dear friend that has fun-loving, joy-filled, huggable children! They have been my cheerleaders, encouragers and mini but mighty prayer warriors. It would never cease to amaze me, but they would hug me (pre-covid hugs!) and ask me questions about the book and let me know they were praying for me. When you have a group of young hearts coming before the Lord on your behalf, well mountains move and God hears! Fast forward to January 2021 and I lay in bed with a broken leg, and guess who is praying for me again, my mini prayer warriors. They made me cards, brought food and most of all smiles and waves and words of hope from the door step as we were still in lockdown and couldn’t hug or have them come inside. That is all changing now in Ontario finally!

How beautiful on the mountains of the feet of those who bring good news? Let me tell you, a lot of beauty! They brought me good news, the proclaimed peace and affirmed hope that I needed! These wonderful kids have incredible parents that seek the Lord in prayer and have modelled a life of filling your moments and days with prayer for others. One of the kids said to me not long ago, “Sandee, we pray for you every night!” They wanted my leg to get better, my book to be completed and sharing this brought them joy and filled my heart to overflowing!

To these lovely feet, don’t stop sharing the good news that God is a God who hears our every uttered word. Keep on praying to strengthen your faith and always know how loved you are! There are many exciting plans to come this summer and into the fall and I can’t wait to share with you all the fun adventures ahead!
