Marriage
LOVE PART THREE: HUSBAND
Sandee Macgregor / February 14, 2021
After our 5th child arrived, this gorgeous arrangement adorned the kitchen island. The aroma of the fresh roses was mesmerizing. Reading and re-reading his words, “With great love for you as my wife and mother of our children,” was a gift each time I passed by with our new baby. It was refreshing when I felt overwhelmed with exhaustion. Lovingly and tenderly, my husband celebrated the birth of all of our children and intentionally loved me in precious ways. We celebrate 28 years of marriage this year and over 30 years since the first day we met. When choosing a wedding verse to engrave on our rings, we decided Colossians 3:14,
“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
We aren’t perfect but intend to love one another through our imperfections. Striving for unity through parenting, life decisions, trials, and blessings is only possible for us, with Christ at the center.
You are my best friend. I love you.
Thank you, my dear husband, for loving me through the recent trial and selflessly serving me (and our family) in lavish and adoring ways. I love how we find ways to keep our marriage a priority. We are stronger together, connected by our creator for his glory. I love you. Happy Valentine’s Day!
24 Things that love is by Paul Tripp is a fantastic list reminding us what love is. I found this a few years back through Wednesday Word, a weekly devotional with Paul Tripp.
This was one of our songs right from the beginning, Billie Holiday- Them There Eyes. Listening to this always brings me back to our early dating years! Lastly, the song my cousin, Cliff Cline, sang at our wedding But To God will always have a special place in my heart.
I hope you find ways to love those you love today creatively.
Here are part one and two of a love series I did a few years ago!

"The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven."
