“I have always known about Jesus and always loved Jesus. I accepted Jesus into my heart when I was six. I don’t remember the moment! I was a follower of Jesus my whole life, but I didn’t become an apprentice of Jesus until I was twenty-two. The moment that my faith became my own – two things happened: One, I read a book that changed my life and opened my eyes to Christianity and what it looks like to follow Jesus, and two, a friend had a crisis of faith and made me analyze myself and ask is this worth my time, energy and the sacrifice. I can no longer rely solely on head knowledge or the classic Sunday school answers. This actually costs something, and learning to count the cost and ask myself if I am actually going to do this and stepping into that!”
