If you could pick a word or a song for a season ahead, what would it be?

 

Sometimes, I select a word for a season, to show me the way as the months unfold. This time, it was a phrase. This past summer was truly a time when I just had to lay everything at His feet and let Him show me the way, and I look back with gratitude now.
He has in his way shown me so many things that I had to be patient for (and still continue to be patient for), but I know He hears me and He answers my prayers. Maybe not always in the way that I want, but isn’t that true for all of us? It’s how we end up walking down paths that we never would have chosen for ourselves, yet they become so much more beautiful than whatever we could have imagined on our own. I still want him to show me the way, even if it doesn’t look like what I had envisioned!
